The Comp. Plan is a document that outlines where and how the county will grow in the coming decades.

The plan under consideration by the Board of Commissioners was recommended by the county’s Planning Commission and has been heavily criticized. Experts say it will encourage sprawl development, an antiquated approach to managing growth that worsens the problems of crowded schools, traffic congestion and environmental degradation.
